The Aaron Rodgers saga has finally come to an end.
After months of buildup and suspense — and one darkness retreat later — Rodgers will be taking his talents to East Rutherford, New Jersey as a member of the New York Jets. On Monday, just days ahead of the 2023 NFL Draft, Rodgers made his decision to leave the Packers for (gotham) greener pastures.
While the Jets have a long way to go before they’re contenders in the AFC East, Rodgers is no doubt chasing another Super Bowl ring. Rodgers has made one Super Bowl appearance, which is now over a decade old, when the Packers beat the Steelers in 2011.
MORE AARON RODGERS: Jets – Packers trade grades: Who won the deal for Aaron Rodgers?
Time will tell how this deal ends up for Rodgers and the Jets, but it certainly was a bombshell that got many in the NFL talking. Current and former NFL players, at the very least, seemed incredibly thrilled with the news!
WIN WIN! Glad they finally got the deal done. https://t.co/AUImO3flrd
