Odell Beckham Jr. as the NFL draft came to a close nearly set the NFL world on fire by tweeting that Deebo Samuel had been traded to the Patriots.
Beckham and Samuel have been going back and forth on Twitter over the days leading up to and through the draft with Beckham teasing that he “got the tea” from Samuel. The 49ers receiver appeared to indicate Beckham didn’t know much, but it was still intriguing.
That came to a head Saturday afternoon when Beckham lobbed a tweet saying that the 49ers and Patriots struck a deal for the All-Pro receiver.

Sports Illustrated’s Albert Breer elaborated in his denial of Beckham’s tweet.
Checked in on this. Response I got: The Patriots have less than $200,000 in cap space. So … yeah. https://t.co/v1P8tKYzXg

Samuel is not being traded to the Patriots. At least for now.
