Former Seahawks wide receiver Penny Hart visited the Falcons yesterday, according to a report by Ian Rapoport at NFL Network.
Hart (5-foot-8, 180 pounds) went undrafted out of Georgia State and got his first gig in the league with the Colts. However, he was only in Indy about a week before he was released and signed to Seattle’s practice squad in October, 2019. He went on to play 39 games with the Seahawks, totaling 11 catches, 82 yards and four touchdowns. This past season Hart only appeared in nine games as he battled injuries, including a hamstring issue.
If Atlanta signs him he will be joining a pretty top-heavy wide receiver room. They have last year’s first-round pick Drake London and not a whole lot else going on at that spot. However, the rest of the Falcons roster looks far more interesting than it did a couple months ago. No team was more aggressive in free agency and they’ve sinced added Bijan Robinson, who some people believe is the actual best player in the 2023 draft class.
Update:
Hart has indeed signed with Atlanta.
