Aaron Rodgers may not have been consistently at his best for the Green Bay Packers this season, but his latest haircut has drawn fan attention elsewhere.
The Packers were taken into overtime by the New England Patriots on Sunday, with Mason Crosby's winning field goal sparing their blushes at Lambeau Field. The scores were tied 24-24 after regulation, despite the Patriots largely relying on their third choice quarterback throughout the game.
Eventually, Rodgers' class proved to be the difference, but a new haircut was spotted in between the switching of helmets by the QB. And fans have roasted Rodgers, with one even comparing it to a penguin.
It's as if Rodgers has gone for a reverse mullet, and if that's the hairstyle to bring the Super Bowl back to Green Bay then Packers fans won't care in the slightest. But that didn't stop NFL fans from poking fun after seeing it during Sunday's week four clash.
"Oh my lord," one shocked fan posted on Twitter, as they shared the haircut to the online world. And it caused an uproar in the comments. One fan responded in savage fashion, saying: "My man is going through a mid life crisis."
"Saw someone say Aaron Rodgers' hair looks like a Rockhopper penguin and I cannot un-see," another commented. "You maybe having a bad hair day, but you are not having Aaron Rodgers' 'I passed out last night and my teammates shaved my head' bad hair day," one fan joked.
Whatever hair, Rodgers guided the Packers to their third win of the season, and they now have a record of 3-1 after losing their opening game of the campaign. But the QB wasn't happy with their performance against New England.
Rodgers said that although they won, it's not something that will continue if they don't improve. "This way of winning, I don't think, is sustainable because it puts too much pressure on our defence," Rodgers said. "And obviously, I've got to play better and will play better."
And things aren't going to get any easier for the Packers are they will now jet off to London to make their first ever UK appearance. They take on the New York Giants at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday, with their opposition also in good form.
Both sides have a 3-1 record, and it's the first time that a London match-up has ever involved two sides with positive records. However, the Giants have been in London before, and it's unknown territory for the Packers.
Rodgers' side are expected to have the majority of the support on their side, with the Packers a huge favourite worldwide. But after Giants QB Daniel Jones produced a stunning performance on Sunday, he will be full of confidence.
