Fox Sports personality Nick Wright has become one of the Chiefs’ biggest supporters in the media, so much so that he made a very permanent prediction this week. Wright predicted on his show, First Things First, that Kansas City would go 20-0 this season, and to seal the deal he got a “Never A Doubt” tattoo on his left forearm.
Well, one game into the 2023 NFL season and Wright’s prediction is already up in smoke, as the Chiefs lost to the Lions on Thursday night. After their win, the Lions trolled Wright with a clever tweet.
Yes, it's real. @getnickwright got a tattoo in honor of the Chiefs 👀

But the Lions weren’t the only ones to roast Wright, as NFL fans of all stripes destroyed him on social media for his prediction gone horribly wrong.
Nick Wright got a tattoo because he believed the Chiefs would go 20-0…

Every time I have a bad take I’ll just look at this and remind myself that I didn’t get a tattoo to say an NFL team will go 20-0 just for them to start 0-1 https://t.co/fND9icbK56

Never a doubt. What a great start to the NFL season. Nick Wright eats crow on so many horrible takes, not the least of which was talking up Kadarius Toney after Giants jettisoned him. https://t.co/SHAJ0yI8fu

It was highly unlikely Wright would have gotten the prediction correct. After all, only one team has ever gone undefeated in NFL history.
However, to get it wrong in Week 1 is another matter entirely.
Wright will have to address the matter on First Things First Friday afternoon, which should make for entertaining television regardless.
