Jamal Adams has had a tough run since the start of the 2021 season. While he was brilliant for the Seahawks in his first year, injuries have hit Seattle’s star strong safety hard the last couple of seasons. Shoulder, finger and quad injuries kept him on the shelf for 24 games over the last three seasons, so you can only imagine how he felt when he suffered a concussion just nine snaps into Monday night’s win over the Giants and was ruled out.
Adams went off on the unaffiliated neurotrauma consultant, yelling at him as he was escorted from the sidelines and to the locker room. While Adams has since offered an apology, he may still face disciplinary action. According to a report by Adam Schefter at ESPN, the NFL is considering it.
Buy Seahawks TicketsNFL is considering discipline against Seahawks’ Jamal Adams for his actions toward the independent concussion doctor appointed by the NFL and NFLPA following his concussion sideline evaluation in Monday night’s game.

Schefter’s replies have since been flooded with NFL fans – both Seahawks and otherwise – coming to Jamal Adams’ defense. Here’s what they are saying.
That's interesting considering anger, aggression/aggressive outbursts are symptoms of concussions. Are they really going to die on the hill of punishing someone for what could be concussion symptoms? Are they going to attempt to prove it wasn't concussion related?

They are going to discipline someone for getting upset cause a doctor told them they can’t go out and do their job ?
I understand why he wasn’t coming back into the game but this is terrible. Dude hasn’t played in over a year and he’s just trying to help his team win.

This league is a damn joke! @NFL, do better!! Everything is a fine or a suspension if a player talks out
— Corey Parrish (@CoreyParrish12) October 4, 2023
The UNC should get the fine.
Probably more than they make in a month.
— Jesse Morse, MD (@DrJesseMorse) October 4, 2023
If he was concussed, he should be given some leeway, if he was not concussed, then he was correct in his frustration. I don't know what the doctor said but perhaps they could find someone who is a better communicator.

Good luck with that, NFL. “Umm, I had a concussion!” – Jamal Adams

— Matt (@MattKlug33) October 4, 2023
Can the NFL just have a tiny bit of "okay we get it" in them?
— Ethyn Dirmeyer (@DirmeyerNFL) October 4, 2023
So soft! He was frustrated. Can’t they see where he is coming from
— Harecules (@harecules) October 5, 2023
They shouldn’t…! imagine being taken away from the game that you love playing for over a year and then being told you have to come out after a few plays
— 5x (@Tr3yFiv5) October 4, 2023
Dude this can’t be real? Cmon NFL do better

How can they hold someone responsible for their actions that’s in concussion protocol ?
— B (@B_Eds517) October 4, 2023
If they said he had a concussion, how is he responsible for his decision-making? If he is responsible for his decision-making, then he didnt have a concussion and had a right to get upset. pic.twitter.com/dKYSE73Mpd

He can’t be mad that his first game in 385 days was ended in 9 plays?
— 👺 (@beenjsn) October 4, 2023
2 years of back to back IR… dude was depressed and in a dark place. Considered retiring at an age where most players are barely entering their prime. But let’s punish the dude for just wanting to play… freaking mafia this NFL. They want to get money out of everyone…

I'm just spit balling, but is it possible that the guy with a bad head injury should be not held accountable for his actions immediately after receiving his head injury? Like what are we even talking about here. The man was concussed.
— Schneider's Season (@Blaisien_) October 4, 2023
That's so corny the man was so hyped up about being back on the field. Everything he said was only said out of emotions.
— Jayson hogan (@Jaysonhogan3) October 4, 2023
As a doctor, I gave been cursed by, kicked at and spat at by delirious patients. Not once did I think we need to discipline the patient. If Adams had a concussion, he is not responsible for his outburst
