“That’s rude.”
(Picture: Photo courtesy of @RealBBQDom/Twitter)An NFL fan yelled an anti-gay slur at Patrick Mahomes’ brother before the Kansas City Chiefs played against the Denver Broncos on Sunday - and the star’s fiancée clapped back.
The situation occurred at Empower Field at Mile High in Denver as Mahomes’ brother Jackson and fiancée Brittany Mathews took videos and pictures.
In the video posted to Twitter, a fan could be heard hurling a homophobic slur repeatedly.
“Hey, Ma-H***!Ma-H***!” the fan said.
The slur was evidently loud enough that Matthew could hear, which resulted in her hitting back at him multiple times with the phrase, “That’s rude.”

People on Twitter were also quick to mention how horrible and inappropriate the incident was.

“Sad to see people laughing and approving of this. [It] Doesn’t matter what you think of someone; they don’t deserve to be called a slur,” someone wrote.
“Considered hate speech,” another added.
A third wrote: “So glad they ended up beating the Broncos! What a total scum bag this ‘human’ is.”
Brittany posted the photos Jackson snapped of her at the pregame photoshoot to her Instagram.
Jackson posted photos of himself with Brittany and another with him Brittany and Patrick on his Instagram as well.
Despite the negativity, there was a triumphant outcome for the Chiefs, who won the game with a score of 28-24.
