Neymar has laughed off allegations that he arrives to Paris Saint-Germain training intoxicated.
French pundits have lined up to slam the Brazilian and his colleagues in recent weeks following the Ligue 1 leaders’ dramatic exit from the Champions League.
One such critique included bizarre claims that Neymar was turning up in the morning “in a pitiful state” - something he hit back at on social media.
Posting a clip of his superb piece of skill before netting his second goal of PSG’s win over Lorient on the weekend, Neymar joked that he was only able to pull it off because he “was drunk”.

He captioned the Instagram clip: “I was ‘drunk’ so it worked... as they say.”
PSG sit top of the league by 12 points but have endured a tough time off the field in recent weeks, amid a fan revolt against the owners and certain high-paid stars.
Journalist Daniel Riolo had alleged on RMC Sport: “Neymar hardly trains anymore, he arrives in a pitiful state, on the verge of being drunk.
“That's the way it is, Neymar is in a spirit of revenge against PSG, there is a total break with the club and the locker room.”
