- Newcastle United have unveiled their new club crest, representing their first change since 1988.
- The club made the decision on the final design after narrowing it down to three options and commissioning a poll that was completed by over 27,000 fans.
- The club confirmed that the final design was the “clear winner” as it was chosen by two thirds of fans, and that it will be placed on kits for the 2027/28 season.
- Newcastle CEO David Hopkinson said the new crest “honours where we have come from” and will become an “iconic symbol” for future generations.
- Newcastle stated that it felt like the right time to make the change as “the limitations and flaws of a 38-year-old design have become obvious”.
