That is according to the Sheffield Star, who also reported that there has been little sign of progress in his contract talks, with his current deal set to expire in the summer of 2024.
The Blades have not been helped by a transfer embargo, which has hampered their attempts of tying down players to new contracts, and prevented Paul Heckingbottom from adding to his squad in January.
The report adds that Sheffield United rejected Everton's bid in region of £25 million plus add-ons for Ndiaye towards the end of the winter transfer window.
But Everton are continuing to pursue the Senegal international, while scouts from Newcastle and West Ham are also understood to have watched Ndiaye in recent weeks.
Ndiaye has been in blistering form for the Blades this term - scoring 12 and providing eight assists in 40 appearances across all competitions. He also starred for Senegal at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar as they reached the Round of 16.
Eddie Howe names top two summer targets
Eddie Howe has told Newcastle United sporting director Dan Ashworth that his top two summer targets are James Maddison and Kieran Tierney, according to Football Insider.
Newcastle had two bids for Maddison rejected by Leicester City back in the summer, while Kieran Tierney has been heavily linked with a move to St James' Park in recent weeks.
Howe has reportedly urged Ashworth to pull out all the stops to get a deal over the line for both players as PIF prepare to back Howe again in the summer.
Tierney has not started a Premier League game since the turn of the year, after falling behind Oleksandr Zinchenko in the pecking order under Mikel Arteta. Newcastle are reportedly plotting a move in the region of £30 million.
