Pulisic links re-emerge
The Mirror have reignited talk that Christian Pulisic could arrive at St James’ Park. Despite impressing at the World Cup with the United States, the winger will likely find himself back on the bench when Chelsea’s season gets back underway.
In the summer, there were suggestions that Pulisic could join Newcastle or Manchester United - but he stayed put at Stamford Bridge. Just three Premier League starts this season places his future at the Blues in doubt.

The 24-year-old has struggled to cement a regular run in the first team and a move could be best for all parties. With 18 months left on his contract, Toon chiefs will feel he could join for a modest fee.
Fekir snub
Estadio Deportivo claim Nabil Fekir would snub a January move to Newcastle. Like Bas Dost and Tranquillo Barnetta before him, the Frenchman appears to be linked with a switch to Tyneside each transfer window.
The report claims Fekir is being considered as an alternative to Leicester City sensation James Maddison. It is no secret that the Magpies tried - and failed - to sign the Foxes’ talisman in the summer.
At 29, Fekir would be a considerably cheaper option. An established career at Lyon saw the midfielder move to Real Betis in 2019. However, he is understood to be happy in Seville and has no desire to leave the club.
Ramos price tag revealed
Newcastle missed out on signing Portuguese prospect Goncalo Ramos over the summer. A £25milion deal was mooted but talk ultimately cooled and the youngster stayed at Benfica.
Ramos actually scored against the Magpies in a pre-season friendly at the Estadio da Luz and has continued to impress. Scoring a hat-trick on his first World Cup start introduced him to a global audience - and likely attracted more suitors.
Club president Rui Costa insisted no players will leave Benfica next month for anything less than their release clause. This means Newcastle would have to stump up €100million to sign the 21-year-old.
