Newcastle United boss Eddie Howe had to go into battle against Arsenal without injured midfielder Sean Longstaff.
Longstaff suffered a foot injury after a tackle by James Tarkowski at Everton in the 4-1 win and is unavailable for the second match running. It meant that Joelinton continued in midfield alongside Joe Willock and Bruno Guimares.
Howe has also made a tweak by starting with Alexander Isak with Anthony Gordon benched meaning Wilson and the Sweden international have the chance to impress from the word go. Allan Saint-Maximin has been named on the Newcastle bench after recovering from a hamstring injury.
