A decision on the future of Dominik Szoboszlai could be nearing its conclusion following the transfer of Christoph Baumgartner to RB Leipzig. Newcastle United have scouted Szoboszlai with the Hungarian midfielder thought to be on their list of potential targets this summer.
The arrival of Baumgartner to the German side from 1899 Hoffenheim has sparked hope among United fans that their club could be closing in on a deal for Szoboszlai. Leipzig are holding out for a big money sale when it comes to Szoboszlai - who has a release clause of £61m. It's been widely reported that the clause expires at the end of June.
Leipzig are also set to sign midfielder Nicolas Seiwald and forward Benjamin Sesko on July 1st. The Bundesliga club have also been linked with a loan move for Liverpool's Fabio Carvalho - further sparking speculation that they are preparing for the exit of Szoboszlai.

However, it also has to be noted that Leipzig will lose two key players of their squad this summer - attacking midfielder Christopher Nkunku is moving to Chelsea, while Konrad Laimer is heading to Bayern on a free transfer.
Szoboszlai has long been watched by Newcastle but also can count Liverpool and Bayern Munich among his admirers. Speculation was fueled further this week after Toon fans tracked a plane flying from Oxford Airport - which is owned by The Reuben Brothers - to Leipzig and back on Thursday afternoon.
