Newcastle United have completed the signing of young Australian forward Garang Kuol from Central Coast Mariners. Kuol will return to the Mariners for the remainder of 2022 and link up with the Magpies in January once the transfer window officially opens.
The 18-year-old is a very highly rated young talent and has already made his international debut for Australia against Chris Wood’s New Zealand last week. Newcastle are said to have beaten off competition from a number of ‘high profile’ clubs for his signature having already scored four goals in 10 senior appearances.
Sporting Director Dan Ashworth has made it one of his priorities to invest in the club’s academy and the signing of Kuol represents a real significant signal of intent of that. Here is how Newcastle fans have reacted to his arrival.
