Newcastle United supporters were quick to send Gareth Southgate an England message after Nick Pope's penalty heroics against Crystal Palace. The Magpies shot stopper produced three big saves in the penalty shootout to send Eddie Howe's side into the fourth round of the Carabao Cup.
Neither side were able to break the deadlock in normal time, with the tie heading straight to penalties. Sven Botman and Bruno Guimaraes missed penalties in the shootout but Pope was there to spare any blushes.
The next round of the competition will take place tomorrow evening following the culmination of Manchester United vs Aston Villa.
