Newcastle United goalkeeper Nick Pope has been nominated for the Premier League's August Player of the Month. The recent summer signing has been a mainstay in Eddie Howe's side since arriving from Burnley.
The England international has replaced Martin Dubravka as the Magpies' number one, with the Slovakian international heading to Old Trafford on a season-long loan. The pair had been expected to battle it out to start between the sticks, but Pope's fine start to the season has coincided with Newcastle's solid start to the campaign.
Howe's side have kept three clean sheets so far this season - it took them until February to do the same last season. Pope has been nominated alongside Manchester City's Erling Haaland and Arsenal's Gabriel Jesus and Martin Odegaard.
