Newcastle United goalkeeper Nick Pope admits Liverpool stopper Alisson Becker is the best in his position across the Premier League - citing how much he loves to watch him play.
Despite collective frustrations at Anfield this campaign, number one Alisson has kept his head above water when it comes to form and performances. It hasn't gone unnoticed by Pope.
Indeed, the England man - who joined the Magpies for £10m last summer - namedropped Alisson during his appearance on Ben Foster's latest Fozcast episode.

When asked to pick his favourite goalkeepers, Pope said: "If we're talking Premier League, Alisson who we mentioned earlier... Love watching him play.
"Obviously on the whole Liverpool have got less points than they normally get, but his level of goalkeeping has been top, top drawer. I'd have to put him up there.
"Anyone keeping Ederson out of the Brazil team has got to be up there. I love watching the way he plays."
Having signed for Liverpool from Roma before the 2018/2019 season, Alisson has won the lot at Anfield and totted-up 224 appearances in all competitions with exactly 100 clean sheets to his name. He has also won 61 caps for the Brazil national team - some 42 more than Manchester City goalkeeper Ederson.
Pope has, meanwhile, been a real driving force for Saudi-backed Newcastle this campaign as they continue their quest for Champions League qualification. As things stand, the fourth-placed Magpies hold a nine-point advantage on the Reds in eighth position with seven games remaining.
