A Newcastle printing company is set for growth and investment following a management buyout.
Large Print Works founder and CEO John Laidler has sold 90% of the company to former sales manager Natasha Scott and production manager Gareth Kerr, while retaining a 10% stake in the business and remaining as a non-executive director. Ms Scott is set to head up the business as managing director with Mr Kerr becoming production director.
The firm was first established in 1988 as Trichome before trading as The Rip from 2001. The photographic lab became Large Print Works in 2016 and has since seen year-on-year growth, offering large format printing operating out of its 4,000 sq ft facility in the Hawick Crescent industrial estate, where it employs seven staff.
