Newcastle city centre hotel guest threw iron and toaster out of upstairs window and trashed room

A hotel guest threw an iron and toaster out of an upstairs window and trashed his room after he "lost it" following an argument with his boyfriend.

Jack Parker-List caused damage worth £2,900 to repair when he went on the rampage inside his room at the Sandman Signature, in Newcastle city centre. The 28-year-old pulled electrics out, so the electricity didn't work, yanked a TV off the wall, smashed mirrors and pulled other items off the wall in what was described as "extreme damage", a court heard.

Prosecutors said that Parker-List also caused a risk to the public after he threw a toaster and iron out of his upstairs window, which landed on the footpath below. Thankfully, nobody was walking underneath at the time.
