Visitors to Newcastle's Christmas Market will be able to enjoy drinks in a heated yurt.
Moosenwirt, described as an "Alpine bar and village", opens on Grey Street on Saturday November 19, on the same day the outdoor Christmas Market opens.
The bar - a collaboration between North East-based Boutique Events and Two Tribes - will feature a fully heated yurt made in Hexham, and offer eight draught beer options along with mulled wine, spirits, cocktails and cider.

Visitors will be able to sit in comfy seating, by fire pit areas, or igloo domes built in Burnopfield.
"The whole area is set to be warmly lit with festoon and fairy lights, comfy seating areas with live acoustic music by local artists in the afternoon into the late evening," the organisers state.
Construction will begin on the evening of Tuesday November 15 after Newcastle's Christmas Lights are switched on.

Moosenwirt will open in Grey Street. The pop-up site will run from close to the entrance to END Clothing (the new flagship store which opened in December 2021) and the corner of Lloyds Bank on Market Street. The Christmas Market will be open on Grey Street, Grainger Street and Old Eldon Square.

Moosenwirt Alpine bar and village opens for the first time on Saturday November 19. Work to build the venue begins on Tuesday November 15.

Moosenwirt at Newcastle Christmas Market will operate between 10am and 11pm daily. There will be live acoustic music in the afternoons and early evenings.
Do I need to book, is there an entry fee?
Booking is not necessary for the yurt, but the igloos can be reserved in advance. Bookings for the igloos are expected to go live from Monday November 14.

Expect a range of beers, ciders, wines, spirits and cocktails.
The organisers describe Moosenwirt as "An Alpine bar serving local and continental beers, mulled wine and cider, spirits, cocktails, featuring Horticulture infamous espresso martinis, hot chocolate and cold soft drinks".
