A New Zealand woman who stabbed a 35-year-old man to death on the Gold Coast, over a "petty grievance" about his name, will be deported after serving a life sentence.
Freedom Anderson was found guilty of the murder of Nicholas Braid by a Supreme Court jury yesterday after it deliberated for less than an hour.
At the beginning of the 23-year-old's trial in Brisbane last week, Anderson admitted to stabbing Mr Braid once in the chest in Surfers Paradise in April 2020.
