Popular pub chain JD Wetherspoon has updated its menu to include several new items. Alongside the classic staples, diners can now enjoy katsu curries, heatwave burgers and salads.
But which of the new offerings should you be ordering? Leicestershire Live's Becky Jones went to find out. “Given how busy its Oadby pub was this lunchtime, with both drinkers and diners, I'd say the chain's boss Tim Martin doesn't have any cause for concern,” she said.
“Wetherspoons' last menu overhaul was in March, when the pub chain added more options to its Curry Club and Steak Club menus, as well as new KFC-style chicken meals, including four boneless 'chicken in a basket' dishes. A fair old selection of meals have been added to the menu, including many vegetarian options. The katsu curry dish is available in three varieties - katsu chicken curry (with sliced breaded chicken escalope), katsu grilled chicken curry (with sliced grilled chicken breast) and katsu Quorn nugget curry, served with eight nuggets.
