Police have been handed new powers to crack down on street gangs, with a state government declaring new laws will allow a response on the same level as outlaw motorcycle gangs.
The SA government said the Street Gangs Bill, which passed parliament last week, would disrupt the criminal activities of street gangs and divert people away from gang membership.
