New roller skating rink plans ‘Stranger Things special’ and more summer events

New Manchester roller skating rink Good Life Skates has revealed the plans for its first summer on wheels. The rink, which sits above Escape To Freight Island’s main hall, is planning all kinds of events in the coming months.

Starting on July 15, 16 and 17, there will be Stranger Things specially themed sessions going on across the weekend. Then on July 28, Crazy P singer and DJ Danielle Moore will be taking to the turntables in the middle of the rink.

More events will be announced over the summer, but they’ll join the existing weekly line-up. The 8000 sq ft rink is open from Thursday to Sunday each week, and kicks off with ‘The Big Rainbow Roll Out’ for an inclusive queer skate session from 8pm until 10pm on Thursday nights.
