NEW Rangers director George Taylor has been deemed a person with 'significant influence or control' at the Ibrox club.
Last week we told that Mr Taylor had been appointed as a director at Rangers.
But new paperwork submitted to Companies House has served notice of Mr Taylor as "a person with significant control" at Rangers.
The PSC01 document was submitted on August 1 to formalise the move.
The notice states that Mr Taylor has the right "to exercise, or actually exercises, significant influence or control over the club".
Mr Taylor has been a key figure behind the scenes for a number of years and has invested significant funds into the club.
He now joins the board to work alongside his fellow directors and chairman Douglas Park.
UK Government guidance on person(s) of significant control, reads: "A person with significant control (PSC) is someone who owns or controls your company. They’re sometimes called ‘beneficial owners’.
"You must identify your PSC and tell us who they are. This might be you, or someone associated with your company. A company can have one or more PSCs."
Appointing Mr Taylor to the board, a Rangers statement read: "The Board of Rangers International Football Club PLC is delighted to welcome the appointment of George Taylor as a Director of the Company."
