Omoda has revealed a new SUV concept that takes singing along in the car a step further, with built-in karaoke that doesn’t even need a handheld microphone. The Omoda X, it brings that musical party trick together with night vision, a conversational voice assistant and a total of 39 places to put your odds and ends.
Unveiled at the Omoda and Jaecoo International User Summit in China on 20 October, the X explores how the brand could mix its interest in fashion and technology with familiar SUV demands: space for people, room for their belongings and the ability to head away for the weekend. Omoda, part of China’s Chery group, which also sells Jaecoo, Chery, Lepas and soon iCaur cars in the UK, says the concept is designed around both city life and trips further afield.
