According to the Met Office, wintry showers will bring further disruption from ice and snow. Some roads and railways are likely to be affected, with longer journey times by road, bus and train services.

Some injuries from slips and falls on icy surfaces are to be expected, the Met Office said, and there are likely to be icy patches on some untreated roads, pavements and cycle paths. Today is forecast to be a mostly sunny and clear day in Greater Manchester, with temperatures reaching highs of around 5C this afternoon.
