New Liverpool ONE venue COSMO crowned one of the best restaurants in the UK

A new restaurant in Liverpool ONE has already bagged a prestigious award.

Liverpool ONE is a popular destination among tourists and locals alike thanks to its extensive selection of retail stores, as well as its impressive array of diverse restaurants. This month, modern venue COSMO became one the newest restaurants to make the thriving location its home.

Staff at the restaurant are already celebrating, and have thanked customers whose votes helped it bag one of the most prestigious titles at the 2022 Golden Chopsticks Awards. Founded by TV personality and celebrity chef Gok Wan, the awards celebrate the contribution of East and South-East Asian cuisine to the UK catering industry, and champion those who work within it.

COSMO Authentic World Kitchen, which opened its Liverpool ONE site on September 7, boasts 20 branches across the UK including venues in Derby, Manchester, Wolverhampton, Glasgow and Belfast. It joined forces with other COSMO fans across the country to help the company scoop the 'Best Restaurant Multi-Site' award at a star-studded ceremony held at the London Marriott Hotel.

COSMO went head-to-head with some of the UK's best-known restaurant chains, only to be crowned the winner. The award is seen as "a celebration of the establishments who have upheld the very best industry standards, and delicious tasting food, while at the same time expanding their empires".

Kan Koo, director of COSMO, said: "It has been another challenging year for hospitality and there are undoubtedly further challenges ahead. We are proud and grateful to have won this award.

"The 'Best Restaurant Multi-Site' award was an extremely competitive category and those shortlisted have had to put in a huge amount of work to continue to thrive and innovate. This award was the result of a public vote, however, and we have no doubt that many of our loyal and regular customers will have cast their votes in our favour.

"We can't thank them enough for their continued support and we would like to extend our gratitude to all COSMO staff across the UK and Ireland for their hard work in continuing to make our business a success."

The first COSMO restaurant opened in 2003, and was inspired by the best five-star hotels in the world. COSMO aims to offer a theatrical take on the dining experience, evident at its new Manesty's Lane site which hosts a team of chefs creating more than 100 dishes daily. There'll be something to suit all cravings, with moreish deli favourites, mouth-watering mains, and a selection of decadent desserts.

It is the critically acclaimed restaurant group's 21st site and aims offer diners flavours from across the globe, with eight different cuisines to choose from. Food lovers can choose from the Chinese World of Asia, Japanese Teppanyaki, Indian House of Spice, and Italian Continental, as well as a tasting kitchen for family favourites, a Mediterranean deli, and a carvery. Diners can enjoy unlimited courses for one set price every single day.

The 300-seat capacity restaurant is based on Manesty's Lane in Liverpool ONE. It's open from 4.30pm until 9.30pm Monday to Thursday, from 4.30pm until 10pm on Fridays, from 12pm until 10pm on Saturdays, and from 12pm until 9pm on Sundays.
