New law goes into effect aimed at getting more people to join the organ donor registry

A new law just went into effect giving Kentuckians another opportunity to join the organ donor registry. Senate Bill 30 allowed the Transportation Cabinet to add the option to join the registry when renewing car tags online.

Shelley Snyder is Executive Director of Donate Life Kentucky. She said bringing up organ donation when people renew their tags made sense.
