New Jersey Man Gets Himself Arrested After Asking Police to Check Mental Health of Neighbor Who Lit Scented Candle

A New Jersey man was arrested after calling 911 to report a non-emergency involving a scented candle that was lit indoors, according to a report.

Alfredo Gonzalez, 34, called the Guttenberg Police to complain about a neighbor who lit a candle inside their own home. His call escalated to falsely claiming his neighbor needed emergency medical services for a mental health evaluation.
