When it comes to the flair and creative delivery of NFL highlights, no person in sports media comes to mind before Chris Berman.
The longtime ESPN broadcaster has entertained millions of fans for more than four decades. From delivering the “Fastest 3 Minutes” of NFL highlights to his famous “Whoop!” to describing a long touchdown with the iconic “He could … go … all … the … way …” catchphrase, Berman’s creative personality has made him extremely popular among fans and players.
As Mark Ingram II prepares to make his debut on Fox Sports’s Big Noon Kickoff show on Saturday, the former Heisman Trophy winner joined The Marchand and Ourand Sports Media Podcast and delivered an outstanding impression of Berman.
“Whoop … puhh, puhh, Markkkkk Ingram, that’s what [Berman] did for my dad,” Ingram said. “When I was rookie, he did it a couple of times. … Who didn’t watch NFL PrimeTime?”

Ingram is one of many players who grew up watching ESPN’s NFL PrimeTime and enjoying the unorthodox catchphrases Berman regularly delivered. Berman’s wit and personality is forever embedded in the fabric of NFL highlights.
That’s why Ingram—even from his days as a kid watching his dad play in the NFL—can relive one of his favorite and iconic Berman moments.
