New favourite for Man Utd interim manager job emerges in shock twist

Michael Carrick is now the favourite to be appointed as Manchester United interim manager, jumping ahead of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in a shock late twist.

Solskjaer was last week considered the frontrunner for the role following initial talks with the club board.
