A new ‘place plan’ to set out a long-term vision for Enniskillen is due to be launched by Fermanagh and Omagh District Council this month.
The Enniskillen Place Plan will see the local council and its planning partners set out a roadmap to guide the town’s short, medium and long-term future.
In a statement the council said the plan would set out how the Co Fermanagh town would recover from the impact of the Covid 19 pandemic and boost the local economy.

The strategy is being supervised by consultants KPMG Future Analytics, with the public encouraged to provide their views in the coming months.
A meeting of the steering group managing the project is due to take place on 23 May.
Chair of Fermanagh and Omagh District Council, Councillor Errol Thompson said the new plan represents an ‘exciting’ new approach for the local authority.
“The Place Plan for Enniskillen represents an exciting, aspiring and innovative approach that will clearly set out our vision for the future success of the town,” Cllr Thompson said.
“This is a great opportunity for our local residents, businesses, and partners to have real influence and jointly shape these ideas and I look forward to seeing the outcomes of this collaborative work.
“Our goal is to produce a vision that will increase vibrancy and vitality to Enniskillen. “The Council is committed to working in partnership with all stakeholders to make Fermanagh and Omagh district a great place to live, work, visit and invest in.”
