New Dundee United boss 'to be appointed by international break' as frontrunner emerges

New Dundee United boss 'to be appointed by international break' as frontrunner emerges

DUNDEE UNITED are hopeful of appointing their new manager by the international break.

And the Scottish Sun say that caretaker Liam Fox is the "clear frontrunner" for the job.

The ex-Cowdenbeath gaffer has steadied the ship following the sacking of Jack Ross.

He's been with Untied for 18-months, after initially working as No.2 under Tam Courts prior to Ross' arrival this summer.

The report states that the 38-year-old would be keen to become the new manager at Tannadice.

Duncan Ferguson was linked with the gig, but is not in the running.

Kevin Thomson, Barry Robson and Malky Mackay are all also said to be on United's shortlist.

It's believed they will step up their search this week.
