‘No place for male violence’: The U.S. Marshals arrest the Tate brothers in Miami on UK extradition request that mentions trafficking charges

The U.S. Marshals have just taken Andrew and Tristan Tate into custody in Miami on an extradition request from the United Kingdom. The request stems from a wide-ranging investigation into sexual offenses. The brothers, who hold dual American and British citizenship, are now facing a total of 59 charges between them. British authorities have recently authorized 38 additional counts. This new case is now an escalation in the legal troubles for the influencers.

According to CNN, the arrests follow an investigation into crimes reported by seven victims. The UK Crown Prosecution Service, or CPS, has been spearheading this case alongside the Bedfordshire Police. Per the BBC, the alleged offenses occurred in the East of England region, specifically between July 2010 and August 2017. The authorities are now moving forward with legal proceedings to have the brothers extradited to the UK to face these accusations.
