The median net price of newly launched medicines in the United States rose 35%, from about $190,000 in 2022 to $257,000 in 2025, according to an independent analysis released October 20 by the Institute for Clinical and Economic Review (ICER) and West Health. The figures are adjusted for inflation and manufacturer discounts, STAT reported.
The report arrives as the federal government promotes pricing deals with drugmakers. It also shows that the climb was not steady. The largest increase came between 2022 and 2023, and net launch prices fell about 2% in 2025.
