New Covid-19 travel rules facing Irish holidaymakers hoping to go abroad

Thousands of Irish holidaymakers could no longer be eligible to travel to numerous EU countries as a result of new travel rules taking effect in the coming days.

From Tuesday, February 1, over 40,000 Irish people who have not received their booster Covid vaccine will not be able to travel abroad.

This is down to new rules relating to the EU Digital Covid Certificate which provides for travel between Member States.
