Report: Broncos have received calls about Emmanuel Sanders

The Denver Broncos have been receiving trade calls for veteran wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders, according to a report from ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

It’s worth noting that Schefter did not specifically report that Denver is willing to deal the receiver — he merely reported that the team has received calls about him. Schefter did say Sanders ” could be” on the trade block.

Last week, NFL Network reported that the Broncos would not trade superstar outside linebacker Von Miller. That hasn’t stopped speculation about Sanders and cornerback Chris Harris, who are both entering the final years of their contracts.

Two weeks ago, Denver general manager John Elway said the Broncos are “trying to win football games” and were not in the market to trade players. The team has dropped to 2-5 since then, which may change Elway’s mind.

Sanders, 32, has caught 30 passes for 367 yards and two touchdowns through seven games this season. The NFL’s trade deadline is Oct. 29.
