A new Coronation Street villain has arrived on the cobbles, and has left many viewers taking a second glance.
Fans may recognise him from rival Virgin Media One soap Emmerdale, as well as Peaky Blinders and Netflix’s Stay Close.
Luke Delaney arrived in Weatherfield on Friday, playing Dave Fairchild. But before his stint in Manchester, he was a resident in the Yorkshire Dales.

The hunky actor, who is also a body builder, is playing the role of Dave, who will play a part of Max Turner getting radicalised into a far right extremist group.
Spoilers confirmed that Max finds himself entangled with the racist group after suffering issues at school and online, Daily Star reports.
Actor Luke is no stranger to Soapland, having played the soap villain who kidnapped Maxine Minniver in Hollyoaks last year.
And back in 2020, he even popped up in rival Virgin Media soap opera Emmerdale where he played a skilled masseuse back.
Luke has even appeared alongside Cillian Murphy in BBC historical drama Peaky Blinders, appearing as a police officer.
On a Reddit post that revealed the news of Luke's new role, one user penned: "I don't mind a bit of eye candy ngl [not gonna lie]."
During Luke's first scenes portraying Dave, viewers watched on as Peter Barlow (Chris Gascoyne) confronted eco activist Griff (Michael Condron) and his mates when he discovers that the band they invited him to see were playing racist songs.
Spoilers have revealed that tonight's Halloween episode will see Griff turn his attention to troubled Max and threatens to teach the bullies a lesson.
He then invites Max to a Halloween party at his house telling the rest of the gang that he could be useful.
In the coming months as Max becomes estranged from his family, the teenager falls under the spell of Griff who uses Max’s video and computer skills to spread their racist propaganda.
Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 8pm on Virgin Media One and the Virgin Media Player.
