'New contract!' — Manchester United fans react to Alejandro Garnacho to Juventus reports

Manchester United fans are not having Juventus’ interest in youngster Alejandro Garnacho.

The 17-year-old is being as tipped as a star of the future after a memorable season in the United academy. The Argentine attacker scored twice in the club’s FA Youth Cup final win over Nottingham Forest last month.

He also made his first two senior appearances in the Premier League towards the end of the campaign and was named as United’s Under-18s player of the year. Garnacho only has 12 months left on his contract and supporters are eager to see him tied down to a long-term deal under Erik ten Hag. And reports of Juventus’ interest in the starlet have not gone down well with United fans.

The Italian giants are claimed to be keeping tabs on Garnacho as talks over a fresh United contract continue. If he doesn’t, they may launch a move for him when he becomes a free agent in 2023.

A host of United fans took to Twitter to plead with their club to offer the player a new deal, some dreading the thought of losing the teenager.

@KianRyan123: Get him on a new contract now I’m not having a repeat that man is the next best thing.

@handijanaur6: It won't happen again, I believe under Ten Hag's leadership the young players will play a big role, and they will play an important part in this club for a long time.

@GozieChristoph1: United should extend his contract.

@SORTED_UTD: No, I can't handle that. No, sign that contract at United.

@MINAMI373: NoNoNoNoNo.

@Utdnoss: Go away you’re not getting him.
