New CCTV footage released in hunt for killer of Ashley Dale

Detectives have released new CCTV footage of a car believed to have been in the area around the time Ashley Dale was shot dead in her home.

Miss Dale, 28, died after a gunman burst through the front door of her property in Leinster Road, Old Swan, at around 12.40am on Sunday, August 21 and fired multiple shots "indiscriminately". Police officers found the Knowsley Council worker unconscious in the rear yard of the property with a gunshot wound to her abdomen.

Detectives have said they believe that while the address was targeted, Miss Dale was not the intended victim of the shooting. A total of eight people have been arrested in connection with Ashley’s murder and remain on conditional bail or under investigation.
