The Karnataka government has rolled out Kartavya, an AI-powered app developed in-house to record and monitor the attendance of its employees across departments.
The Karnataka Advanced Attendance Management System (KAAMS), developed by the Centre for e-Governance (CeG) under the Department of Personnel and Administrative Reforms (e-Governance), replaces manual attendance registers and biometric hardware-based systems with a mobile application integrated with facial recognition and geofencing technologies.
