Neverness to Everness bonding guide and romance options

Neverness to Everness isn’t just about fighting, capturing supernatural entities, and cruising around in an urban open world, GTA-style. There are opportunities to interact with your companions outside missions and build relationships with them through the Bond system.

While it’s available from the get-go, it’s not as simple as just sending a text and inviting anyone for a ride-along or a date. There are limitations to what you can do and which characters you can hang out with.

Here’s how bonding works in Neverness to Everness and all currently available romance options.

In NTE, before you can hang out with a companion, you have to increase their Affection level. Most characters have a 10-tier Affection system, with each unlocking exclusive rewards or interactions. For instance, at Affection level two, you can start inviting them for car rides around the city.

To raise the Affection level, interact with the character using the Bond system on your phone. Whether it’s through riding together, holding hands, or giving gifts, almost everything increases Affection.

Here are some things you can do to increase the Affection level:

  • Give gifts
  • Complete open-world encounters
  • Interact using Home Time or Join features
  • Ride together.

As for gifts, each companion has their own preferences that grant bonus Affection, and the daily gift limit for each companion is ten. Some of the easiest ways to get gift items are through shops, vending machines, restaurants, and more.

Once you have raised your Affection to level four, you can invite some of the companions to move into one of your apartments. This feature is called Home Time. These companions have exclusive loungewear that you can unlock as a skin by reaching Affection level 10, and they will roam around the apartment wearing it. You can also invite the same characters to City Hangouts at the cinema, Ferris Wheel, and other locations, depending on the character.

To make things more immersive, NTE has a first-person mode. You can switch to this perspective during any activity in the game, including dates and interactions at home with your companions.

Not every character in NTE has all the bonding features available, though. Some are limited to only car rides, while characters like Aurelia only have two total Bond levels. This could be worth noting if you’re picking or rerolling for a specific character to hang out with them.

Below is the list of all currently available characters that have full Bond features available, including Home Time, City Hangouts, and loungewear skins:

Jiuyuan
Mint
Nanally
Fadia
Hotori
Chiz

The rest of the characters, like Daffodil and Hathor, can only join you as passengers in a car. You can’t invite them to your home or interact with them in any way outside of open-world encounters.
