Netflix announces huge new series based on bestselling novel One Day to be set in Edinburgh

Streaming giant Netflix confirmed that Edinburgh is the setting for their TV adaptation of the best-selling romance novel One Day.

Nicole Taylor, the writer behind the hit city Glasgow -set film Wild Rose and the BBC surrogacy thriller The Nest, is adapting Nicholls' 2009 book into a series.

Anne Hathaway previously starred in the 2011 film adaptation of the book which included filming locations in Arthur's Seat, Moray Place, Parliament Square, and Calton Hill.
