Whether you love true crime, romance or psychological thrillers, or anything else, there's a TV series or film to suit everyone's tastes on the streaming giant.
But because of the sheer volume of options available, choosing something to put on can often seem like a daunting task and is the cause of many household arguments.
And if you're sick of seeing the same options over and over again, a simple trick could help you refine your search and show you things you'd maybe never seen before.
The Mirror reports that there are likely thousands of films and TV shows on Netflix that have never popped up on your home screen, and finding them is simple.
All you need to do is know about a couple of codes that will make searching through Netflix a lot easier for you.
These codes correspond to fairly precise genres, such as ‘movies based on children’s books’ or ‘sports comedies’. Enter the code and the relevant genre with all its films or tv shows is all there for you in one place.
To do this, you just need to visit each genre’s webpage by typing or copy and pasting this into your browser: http://www.netflix.com/browse/genre/
Then follow this by any of the codes listed below.
So for example if you wanted to see what Netflix offers in the way of Asian Action Moves – which is first on the list - type in https://www.netflix.com/gb/browse/genre/ 77232
Currently, this neat trick only works on the website version of Netflix. But if you use the streaming platform on a TV, you can simply type the code in the 'search' bar.
