Netflix have unveiled an explosive trailer for upcoming documentary series The Most Hated Man on the Internet.
The three-part series tells the story of Hunter Moore and unpacks the story behind one of the Internet's earliest and most notorious revenge porn websites.
The two-minute trailer begins with various female victims describing their experience of being featured on the website IsAnyoneUp.com.
One woman is heard saying: "You know, you wake up, you look at your phone. Two hundred notifications?" as another says: "There I was topless, multiple photos, it was an absolute shock."
"I felt violated. Humiliation. That site was about destroying lives. Who would create a website like this?" another adds.
The clip then cuts to old footage of the man in question talking to camera and saying: "This is Hunter Moore from IsAnyoneUp.com f*ckin' all your girlfriends."
In a later piece of footage, Moore adds: "Me and my friends would post a bunch of girls and I was like, 'Yo, I can make money off f*ckin' people over."
A voiceover then explains: "He thought of himself as the king of revenge porn."
Moore describes him antics as "too much fun" in old interview footage, but the trailer hints that the women who didn't put up with his nonsense was a lady named Charlotte Laws.
"He came after my daughter," Laws is heard saying as her child adds: "He needed to be brought down."
The docuseries features various interviews with some of the women and men that Moore “violated” by posting their nude photos online; in one case, when one woman pleaded with Moore to take down the photos, she claims he responded: "LOL."
“Featuring poignant, exclusive interviews with multiple women and men who fought to have their images taken down, law enforcement agents who worked the case, and the crusaders who fought to take Moore down, this three-part series documents his comeuppance at the hands of the only force more fearsome than an army of internet trolls: a mother protecting her daughter,” Netflix said of the show.
The Most Hated Man on the Internet premieres on Netflix on July 27.
