There's some exciting news for Robbie Williams fans, as Netflix have announced a new documentary series charting the high and lows of the singer's 30-year-career is in production. The news was announced during the Edinburgh TV Festival this week, and there's not long to wait, as it will launch next year.
Netflix teased an exclusive clip from the multi-part series at the festival, which is said to have shown the 48-year-old lying naked on a sofa describing how his singing voice is a “gift from God”. According to the streaming platform, the series will provide an "unfiltered, in-depth examination” of the former Take That star's life in the limelight, featuring 25 years worth of never-before-seen and intimate footage.
The news was also shared with Netflix UK and Ireland's one million Twitter followers on Thursday (August 25). The post read: "Netflix is in production on a doc series about Robbie Williams! The multipart series will launch in 2023 and cover the highs and lows of Robbie’s 30 years in the limelight."
Fans of the British pop icon were quick to reply to the post sharing their excitement. Claire O'Kelly tweeted: "This is awesome. Can't wait." alongside a number of heart-eyed emojis. Izzy added: "Not even embarrassed to admit I am buzzing for this."

The docuseries will be directed by Joe Pearlman, who was behind the Bros documentary 'After The Screaming Stops'. Meanwhile Asif Kapadia, best known for documentary films about Amy Winehouse, Ayrton Senna and Diego Maradona, will executive produce alongside Dominic Crossley-Holland.
The Robbie Williams documentary series will be released in 2023.
