Nepal PM Sher Bahadur Deuba, wife gifted GI-tagged artifacts made by master artisans of Kashi

VARANASI: The master artisans of Kashi do not miss a chance to make special gifts for the visiting celebrities. This time, they made Geographical Indication (GI)-tagged artifacts for Nepalese Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba, who along with his wife Arzu Rana Debuba visited the city on Sunday.

Chief minister Yogi Adityanath presented a beautiful piece of Banaras Gulabi Meenakari (pink enamelling) to the Nepali PM and a Banarasi saree to his wife. Besides, Yogi also welcomed him with the signature craft of Banaras Brocade ‘angvastra’ (stole) with zardozi and a weaved scarf with the zardozi work of GI logo.
