NEP detrimental to Tamil Nadu’s inclusive education, Madras HC told

CHENNAI: The National Education Policy (NEP) remains only as a policy without any statutory backing; therefore, the Tamil Nadu government is not obligated to implement NEP, the state government informed the Madras high court on Tuesday.

This apart, Tamil Nadu is a secular welfare state where an inclusive education system has the foundation for equitable education with 69% communal reservation, 33% women reservation and special reservation for Tamil medium in government jobs, the state said.
