Neonatologist explains how they saved a premature baby girl born in just 6 months, weighing only 400 gm!

Miracles are usually events that go beyond our understanding. However, a recent medical case has shown that we can make miracles happen. Baby Shivanya was prematurely born in May 2022 in Pune, weighing only 400 gm and length of 30 cm. The gestational age of the mother was 24 weeks, which under normal circumstances is between 37-40 weeks.

Despite the odds not seeming to be in the baby’s survival, “the parents were very keen on having this baby,” Dr. Sachin Shah, Director, Neonatal & Pediatric Intensive Care Services, Surya Hospital, Wakad, Pune, told Etimes Lifestyle.
